Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on December 16 for a delegation from the Chinese Ministry of National Defence’s Office of Foreign Affairs led by its Vice Chairman Maj. Gen. Ci Guowei.

Vinh applauded the delegation’s visit, describing it as a good opportunity to intensify exchanges and boost cooperation in foreign affairs of the two country’s defence field.

He agreed on contents reached during a working session between the Chinese delegation and its counterpart from the Vietnamese Defence Ministry’s Department of Foreign Affairs, which aim to realise the commitments by both countries’ senior leaders.

To well implement these contents, the two armies should increase visits, strengthen exchanges between border guard, navy and marine police forces, while paying attention to popularlising cooperation activities, thus contributing to building and consolidating the traditional relationship between the two armies and peoples, Vinh said.

Ci Guowei said he is delighted when paying a working visit to Vietnam. He also expressed his determination to implement the host’s proposals for the peace and stability in the region and the world.-VNA
