province of Bac Giang from Nov. 14-16.
All the necessary medical equipment needed to conduct the surgeries was provided by the Alcon Company, which operates in both China and Vietnam .
The programme was funded by the Chinese People’s Diplomacy Association, which worked alongside the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association to organise the consultancies and operations.
Tran Dac Loi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, praised the programme and expressed his hope that it will continue to give the gift of sight back to poor people with cataracts./.
