Chingay Parade 2019 kicks off in Singapore

The Vietnamese art troupe, led by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, attended the event.
Themed “Dream”, the festival is part of activities to mark the 200th founding anniversary of the country. It is the convergence of dreams of a beautiful and more developed Singapore in the future.
A 270m-long and 7m-wide painting by local artists featuring the 200-year marvelous development of Singapore from a fishing village to a modern metropolis, and Singaporean people’s dreams of a prosperous nation, is one of the highlights of this year’s Chingay Parade.
Besides, The Go-Kart racing performance is also a special programme of the event.
The two-day festival is estimated to lure about 200,000 visitors.-VNA
