The Ciputra Hanoi-Yonex Sunrise Vietnam International Challenge kicked off in Hanoi on March 25 with the participation of 288 badminton players from 13 teams.

Participants are competing for medals in five categories – singles and doubles matches for men and women, and mixed doubles, which will last until March 30.

The annual event, endorsed by the Badminton World Federation and Badminton Asia Confederation, aims to sharpen the athletes’ skills and promote the friendship and solidarity between nations around the world.

It also creates an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its image and fuel the country’s badminton development.

The winners will walk away with up to 4,000 points to strengthen their global rankings.

Badminton fans can watch the matches for free at Cau Giay Gymnasium. The competition will also be aired live on local television channels.-VNA
