Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the municipal People’s Committee and the US firm on April 22, Cisco will work with the city to upgrade its information technology system and build a centre for researching, developing and manufacturing state of the art hi-tech products.
In addition, Cisco will help Da Nang with human resources training and proposals to help the city develop its economy in a sustainable manner.
Previously, in 2007, both parties had signed another MoU, under which Cisco provided Da Nang with new technology and IT specialists, which later saw the city lead the country in applying information technology./.
