An agreement on development cooperation was signed on Jan. 14 between Vietnam’s central city of Vinh and Tours, a city 240km to the south of Paris.

Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung, who accompanied a Vinh Delegation on avisit to Tours , said the agreement specifies cooperative contents following a letter of intent signed on July 2011. This is also a preparation for a visit to Vinh by the mayor of Tours Jean Germain.

Under the agreement, the two cities will study the building of the Tourain House in Vinh and cooperate in tourism, and cooking training. Vinh will send teachers of French Tours for training and exchange doctors and medical students with the French city.

In the framework of his working visit to Tours , Ambassador Dung worked with Tourain Vietnam Association, which was founded in 2005 with the purpose of boosting relationship between Vietnam and Tours city. He applauded the activities of the organisation, particularly in assisting Vietnamese student in Tours. /.
