Ninh Thuan (VNA) – A seminar was held in Ninh Thuan on December 14 aiming to bolster cooperation and business links between the south central province and Kursk province of Russia.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Ninh Thuan People’s Committee Luu Xuan Vinh said the province has focused on six main economic sectors, including clean energy, tourism, agro-forestry-fishery, processing, education-training and real estate, in accordance with its socio-economic development plan by 2020.

Kursk province holds great advantages in industry, agriculture, science and education, which are suitable for the socio-economic development plan of Ninh Thuan. Hence, the Vietnamese province is willing to create favourable conditions in investment policies and procedures for Russian investors.

Local authorities also voiced their hope that leaders of Kursk province will continue to support cooperation between businesses and people of the two localities for mutual growth.

For his part, Kursk Deputy Governor Krivolapov Aleksandr Nikolaevich said the province wants to foster bilateral cooperation with Ninh Thuan in various fields, including food processing, tourism, education, and labour export.

The seminar offered opportunities for businesses to seek investment and bolster trade after the two provinces signed memoranda of understanding in December 2016, he added.-VNA
