General Secretary Nong Duc Manh andother senior officials of the Communist Party of Vietnam received anumber of best-wishing delegations on February 1 on the Party’s 80thanniversary.
Guests came from Governmentagencies, political and social organisations, State-owned economicgroups and local authorities, bringing along baskets of flowers andannual reports highlighting achievements recorded in 2009 to present tothe Party leadership.
They expressed pride for the Party and beloved President Ho Chi Minh.They also praised the Party’s sound leadership in national defence andconstruction, emphasising it is a decisive factor that brings thenation from one victory to another in the revolutionary cause.
Also expressed at the event was optimism of the country’s future underthe Party’s leadership and pledged to join hands in bringing thecountry to overcome difficulties and challenges.
“We pledge to stand by the Party to achieve the goal of Socialistconstruction and defence and speed up the national industrialisationand modernisation,” said the delegates.
In reply, Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh said the Vietnameserevolutionary success reflected the high determination, dynamism andrenovation of the entire political system and people of all classesunder the CPV leadership.
“The Party, State and people recognised contributions of primaryimportance from the Government agencies, political and socialorganisations and local-level administrations to the nation’s commoncause,” said the Party leader.
