Hanoi (VNA) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on August 21 sent a message of condolences to Sierra Leonean Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara on heavy losses in the recent mudslide disaster in Freetown capital.

Sierra Leone media reported on August 20 that the death toll in the mudslide and flooding on August 14 had amounted to 499, and more than 600 others remained missing.-VNA
