Conference honours Uncle Ho’s moral followers

A conference was held in Hanoi on Jan. 24 to commend 68 outstanding organisations and 144 individuals in the “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” campaign.
A conference was held in Hanoi on Jan. 24 to commend 68 outstanding organisations and 144 individuals in the “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” campaign.

Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, head of the central steering committee for the campaign, State President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung attended the event.

The Party leader praised the sentiments, efforts and great contributions by Party members and people nationwide to the campaign. All Vietnamese can voluntarily study and follow Uncle Ho’s moral example whenever, wherever and in whatever jobs they do, he said.

He stressed that studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example means improving virtues, and preventing and combating degradation in political thoughts, morality and lifestyle as well as corruption, waste, social evils and other negative phenomena.

The general secretary asked the steering committee’s municipal and provincial chapters, ministries, agencies, units and businesses, and all Party members and people to uphold the achieved results and overcome shortcomings to multiply the bright examples and make the campaign more successful in the coming time./.
