Nearly 40 economic deans, researchers and professors from ASEAN member countries’ universities have shared their experiences in tertiary education management within the context of globalisation.

At the 10th international conference for ASEAN universities’ economic deans in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 17, the delegates focused their discussions on uniting universities to meet challenges and requirements of globalisation for curricula, faculties’ development, research and publishing and student exchange.

Throughout the conference, educators are expected to build a new vision for an ASEAN community from now until 2015 and put forward training and tertiary management reforms for ASEAN members.

Prof. Hargo Utomo from Indonesia’s Gadjah Mada University suggested that universities implement an education cooperation policy to provide higher quality educational resources for their faculties and students./.
