Construction started on August 30 for a Vietnamese Government-funded secondary school for Viengphoukha district of Laos’ Luang Namtha province, 700km north of Vientiane.

When operational, the school will afford facilities to train 1,500 – 1,800 students every year.

Speaking at the event, Luang Namtha Governor Phimmasone Luongkhamma thanked Vietnam and its northern Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho provinces for helping the Lao province build infrastructure for training.

He pledged that the provincial authorities will create favourable conditions for relevant sides to complete the project on schedule.-VNA
