Hau Giang (VNA) – Construction of awaste-to-energy plant started in Hoa An commune, Phung Hiep district, theMekong Delta province of Hau Giang, on September 27.

Truong Canh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee, asked departments, agencies and localities to join hands to ensure the process, quality and safety of the project, and put theplant into operation in late 2021 as scheduled.

He asked the investor to choose cutting-edge and environmentallyfriendly technologies for the factory.

Covering 23ha, the plant has total investment capitalof 1.32 trillion VND (56.86 million USD). During the first phase, it isdesigned to have a capacity of handling 300 tonnes of waste per day, generating6MW, while 600 million tonnes of waste are expected to be handled in the secondphase to produce 12MW. /.
