The Vietnamese Well-known Brand Programme 2010 was launched at a gala night in Hanoi on August 15 by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

The biennial programme, the third of its kind, is aimed at promoting best products of industries, which will win consumers’ trusts.

The programme survey will be conducted in 18 cities and provinces at 40 industries.

The programme’s organising board said it will be an opportunity for winning brands to compete for the award “Southeast Asia’s Most Outstanding Business”, which will be announced at the ASEAN Summit 2010 to be held in Vietnam .

Addressing the gala, VCCI Vice President Doan Duy Khuong stressed that winning the Vietnamese Well-known Brand title was a great honour for businesses, which constantly exerted efforts for sustainable development in the current global competitive environment. The programme effectively promoted best products for Vietnamese consumers, proving businesses’ effectiveness and contributing to improving people’s living quality.

At the event, VCCI announced 33 Vietnamese Well-known Brands 2008. They included Agribank, Viettien, Kinhdo, Traphaco, Bao Viet, Song Da 10, Taxi Mai Linh, Toan My, Lai Thieu, FPT, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Petrolimex, Kymdan, Omo, Honda, Nokia, Sony, and Heneiken./.
