A contest on writing and popularising literature, art and press works on the late President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples and collecting documents and objects about his revolutionary life in Russia was launched in Moscow on August 16.

The contest is organised by the Party Committee and the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia.

Representatives from the Associations of Overseas Vietnamese People, Businesses and Students in Russia and the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association attended the launching ceremony.

The contest was the continuous part of the 2008 campaign entitled “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”, which focused on telling stories about the President.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh stressed that the contest was aimed at highlighting the late President’s contributions to the Vietnamese people’s revolutionary cause as well as to the International Communist and Workers’ movement.

He expressed his hope that the contest would contribute to developing the friendship, fraternal ties and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia./.
