Cairo (VNA) Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has expressed his belief in the continued development of cooperation between Egypt and Vietnam.

Hosting Vietnamese Ambassador Tran Thanh Cong, who came to present his letter of credentials on March 12, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that Egypt will create favourable conditions for Ambassador Cong during his term of office in the country.

He recalled his impressions and the outcomes reached during his official visit to Vietnam in September, 2017, while expressing his pleasure at the positive development in the two countries’ relations.

Ambassador Cong said he will do his best to contribute to further promoting cooperation between the two countries.

He briefed President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Vietnam’s recent socio-economic development achievements, foreign policies, and international integration progress.

The Government and people of Vietnam wish to strengthen cooperation in various areas with Egypt, the diplomat said, noting the orientations and targets during his term of office towards promoting bilateral cooperation. –VNA
