Countries including the UnitedStates , China , Germany , Canada and New Zealand haverecently voiced concerns over the political unrest in Thailand , saidSurapong, who is also Director of the Centre for the Administration ofPeace and Order.
He added that they wished the Thai Government will seek peaceful solutions by negotiating with the protesters.
They also hoped the general election slated for on Feb. 2, 2014will proceed smoothly so that the country will restore peace andstability as soon as possible, he said.
Earlier on December 9,Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra declared the dissolution of theHouse of Representatives and the organisation of an early generalelection to put an end to ongoing political crisis.
Her Puea Thai Party said they support the PM as the party’s top candidate in the election.-VNA
