COVID-19: National caseload tops 6.1 million on March 13

A total 166,968 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the past 24 hours from 4pm March 12 to 4pm March 13, including 15 imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – A total 166,968  cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the past 24 hoursfrom 4pm March 12 to 4pm March 13, including 15 imported cases, according tothe Ministry of Health. 
 
Hanoi continued to report the highest number of infections on the day with 29,269cases, followed by Nghe An with 10,243  and Dak Lak with 7,569.

Besides, the northern province of Bac Giang supplemented 42,533 cases afterverifying information.

The national tally reached 6,112,648.

There are 4,107 patientsin critical conditions, while an additional 95 deaths wererecorded in the past 24 hours, taking the total fatalities to 41,385,equal to 0.7 percent of the total caseload.  

A total 95,538 patients weregiven the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,163,571.

By March 12, the country had injected over 200.17 million doses of vaccines./.

Vietnamese scientists unlock genetic insights into rare diseases

All People’s Health Day promotes early disease prevention

The launch marked the first year the activity has been implemented in a coordinated manner nationwide. Free cancer screening, health checks to benefit 10,000 people in Hanoi

Participants will receive comprehensive health checks through a streamlined one-stop process, including blood pressure measurement, height and weight assessment, BMI and cardiovascular risk evaluation, blood tests, general examinations and specialist consultations in internal medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, ophthalmology, ENT, dentistry and oncology. Rapid blood glucose testing and biochemical screening will also be conducted to detect diabetes and metabolic disorders.

Over 25,000 hand, foot and mouth disease cases posted in 3 months

In the first three months, more than 25,000 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease have been recorded nationwide. Of the total cases, around 18,000, or nearly 72%, were concentrated in southern provinces. The disease has primarily affected children aged between one and five.
