Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 4,892 cases of COVID-19 on October 28, up 472 cases from the previous day, according to the Ministry of Health. 

HCM City recorded the highest number of infections with 1,069, followed by neighbouring province of Dong Nai with 745 and Binh Duong province with 618.

The national tally now stands at 905,477.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 2,687 patients nationwide are in serious conditions, with 319 requiring invasive ventilation and 20 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 54 deaths from the disease. The death toll now hits 21,910.

A further 1,649 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 813,963.

By October 28, the country had injected over 77.14 million doses of vaccines to date, with more than 22.62 million people now fully inoculated./.
