Hanoi (VNA) No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Vietnam over the past 12 hours, and the national count remains at 1,095 as of 6pm on October 1, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

During the day, eight patients were given the all-clear, raising the total recoveries to 1,018.

Among those still under treatment, one has tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, two negative twice and five negative thrice. There are not any serious cases among active patients.

The total COVID-19 fatalities remain at 35, with most dead patients being elderly people with serious underlying diseases.  

There are 15,491 people in quarantine across the country, including 266 at hospitals, 10,441 at concentrated facilities and 4,784 at home or accommodations./.
