A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) attended the 12th Congress of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), which took place in Sao Paulo from Nov. 5-8.

The Vietnamese delegation, led by Chairman of the CPVCC’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan, delivered a welcome speech and conveyed a message of congratulations to the congress, which was attended by close to 800 local delegates and 59 delegations from 33 countries around the world.

The Vietnamese guests were received by PCdoB President Renato Rabelo, who spoke highly of their presence at the congress, saying that it offers the Communist Party of Brazil great encouragement in facing its own struggles.

Rabelo praised the considerable achievements the Communist Party of Vietnam and the results the Vietnamese people have reaped during the renewal process. He stressed his wish to strengthen friendly and cooperative ties between the two Parties and people of Brazil and Vietnam.

While in Brazil, the Vietnamese officials held a working session with Valter Pomar, Secretary for International Relations of the Brazilian Workers’ Party, and met with delegations who participated in the congress./.
