The APEC Japan 2010 Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting (CSOM/APEC) opened in Yokohama city, Japan on November 7.
This is the fourth official session hosted by Japan as the chair of APEC 2010. It will wrap up discussions on November 8 in preparation for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and Ministerial Meeting to be held next week.
The first day of the event focused on economic integration through forming a free trade area in Asia-Pacific (FTAAP), including negotiations for the trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP).
The delegates will assess trade liberation achievements and discuss preparations for the World Trade Organisation’s new round of multilateral trade negotiations./.
