Hanoi (VNA) – The Asian cyber space conference and exhibition, Cybertech Asia 2018, opened in Singapore on March 27, bringing together IT experts, chief executive officers and delegates from over 80 top high-tech companies of developed nations such as Singapore, Israel, the UK, Germany and the US.

Themed “Challenges and opportunities in new cyber space era”, Cybertech Asia 2018 provided a platform for experts, policymakers, cyber companies and start-ups to share technological solutions and seek new orientations to addressing challenges during the fourth industrial revolution.

Participants discussed strategies and solutions to global online threats in the fields of finance-banking, transportation, telecommunications, health care and government. The forum also introduced different technologies in cyber security.

Amir Rapaport, founder of Cybertech, said the world has become vulnerable to the rapid development of Internet of Things and increasing cyber attacks so that IT and cyber companies need to strengthen linkages and share new strategies in response to risks and cyber attacks.

He said Asia is in the forefront and takes the leading role in renovating technologies to protect information connectivity, key infrastructure, energy and big data. He suggested using artificial intelligence to discover and prevent threats.

An exhibition showcasing cyber security solutions was also held with the participation of many groups around the world, including BAE System, Cyberbit and Digital Shadow. On display are face recognition and fingerprint screening systems, anti-malware and virus software, among others.
