Plzen city's authorities expressed their interest and desire to promote locality-to-locality cooperation with Vietnam. Roman Zarzycky, its mayor, acknowledged the contributions by the Vietnamese community here.

Nam spoke highly of the traditional friendship and multifaceted collaboration between the two countries which have been developing fruitfully in various fields, noting due attention has been paid to locality-to-locality collaboration.

According to the ambassador, on the basis of the sound bilateral relations, Hanoi’s Hai Ba Trung district suggested the two cities establish a twinning relationship, focusing on their strengths in education and training, tourism and labour.

Zarzycky said Plzen city attaches great importance to developing relations between the two countries and with Vietnamese localities, noting that the two sides have a lot of potential for cooperation, especially with the foundation and educational quality of universities in the localities.

He also invited the mayor and a delegation of Plzen city to pay a working visit to Hanoi at an appropriate time.
