Da Nang completes logistics preparations for APEC week

The central city of Da Nang has basically completed logistics preparations for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week and related meetings slated for November, according to the municipal Department of External Affairs.

Da Nang (VNA) – The central city of DaNang has basically completed logistics preparations for the APEC EconomicLeaders’ Week and related meetings slated for November, according to themunicipal Department of External Affairs.

Some 14 five-star hotels will accommodate high-ranking delegates while theirentourages, journalists and flight crew members will stay in three- andfour-star hotels.

The department has coordinated with the APEC 2017 Materials and LogisticsSub-Committee to prepare parking space for nearly 1,600 cars serving the event.

The municipal Department of Tourism also had working sessions with nearly 600directors and managers of hotels across the city to discuss preparations forthe week.

The hotels are required to seriously implement measures in order to ensuresecurity, order and food hygiene, and fire prevention.

The Da Nang General Hospital has also joined hands with the BNH InternationalHospital of Thailand to conduct first-aid training for staff members of 18resorts and hotels involved in the event.

The APEC EconomicLeaders’ Week will take place in Da Nang from November 6 to11.  The event will bring together around10,000 delegates from 21 APEC member economies.

FLC appeal hearing postponed, giving more time for compensation

After discussions and listening to opinions from lawyers, defendants, and victims present at the trial, the judicial panel stated that postponing the appeal hearing for Trinh Van Quyet, ex-chairman of FLC Group, is necessary to ensure the rights of the victims. The postponement aims to give the defendants and their families more time to pay compensation for victims and those with related rights and obligations.
