The Da Nang International Paramotor Race, DIPR 2012 will be held for the first time in Vietnam’s central city of Da Nang from May 23-27.
Da Nang’s People’s Committee held a press conference on May 4 to announce the 2012 IPR and to sign a contract with the event’s sponsors.
The competition, which is governed by Flight Ambulance International (FAI) regulations, will give the audience a great opportunity to see the 25 entrants from Japan , France , the US and Poland take to the skies in what should be a thrilling spectacle.
The event is organised by the Da Nang’s People’s Committee with Japan ’s Hang-gliding Federation (JHF) acting as consultants, and the Japanese Company Airea.
It aims to popularise the sport to local people and attract more visitors to Da Nang, which is known as a city of tourism, major events and festivals./.
