The coral stones and tropical almond trees are considered symbols of the Truong Sa archipelago.
The gifts, presented by the Navy High Command, confirm Vietnam ’s sovereignty over seas and islands as well as educate people from all walks of life about patriotism, national pride and a sense of responsibility for preserving and protecting the country’s territorial integrity.
The Navy High Command has to date handed over stones and tropical almond trees to 26 cities and provinces nationwide./.
