The Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) and the University of Da Nang (UD) on August 20 opened a training course on the conservation of primates to students of biology at the College of Pedagogy under the UD.

During the six-day course, the students will learn about both theory and working practices on how to preserve biodiversity as well as how to classify different species. They will also be made aware of the situation of primates in Vietnam and across the world, conservation strategies, wild animal protection and the illegal trafficking of wild animals.

The German non-governmental organisation FZS specialises in conserving species and biodiversity across 30 countries. Since 1993, it has arranged many activities to protect primates in various localities across Vietnam./.
