Da Nang to strengthen IT security

The Da Nang city Department of Information and Communications and Intel Security have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop and strengthen security for information technology (IT) infrastructure in the city.
The Da Nang city Department of Information and Communications and IntelSecurity have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop andstrengthen security for information technology (IT) infrastructure inthe city.

The MoU marks a crucial step in cooperation between thedepartment and Intel Security for boosting IT use and management in DaNang over the past few years.

As agreed upon in the MoU, IntelSecurity will provide a complete Endpoint Protection suite and build alibrary for cyber security in Da Nang that will impart a structure tonetwork security, personal training and knowledge for users.

Lastyear, the city had launched the Da Nang's e-Government system,including the IT and communications infrastructure; IT applications,policy and mechanism on IT and communication and IT manpower resources.

Thesystem will also help connect all the city agencies and grassrootsadministration, online public services, e-Government frames and theoverall e-Government architecture.

The city also introduced acentre for free public service with 2,100 procedures for local residentsand businesses and a public transaction and consultancy centre, with120 contact agents, and wireless internet (wi-fi) free services, with amaximum of 20,000 connections at a time for locals and tourists in majorcentres and streets in the city.-VNA

DNA testing capacity expanded to identify over 207,000 martyrs’ remains

By September 2026, Steering Committee 515 had collected samples from the remains of 207,656 martyrs, achieving 98.15% of the goal. Nearly 120,000 samples have been received and preserved. Additionally, authorities gathered 265,761 DNA samples from martyrs’ relatives, with about 100,000 analysed and around 80,000 results entered into the database.

In the central province of Quang Tri, an AI-powered “People’s Assistant” is being piloted from October 1 to 31 at the provincial Public Administration Service Centre and the centres of this kind in Dong Thuan and Dong Ha wards.
