The provision is to help local people who are suffering from food shortages in the between-crop period.
According to the provincial People’s Committee, the current rice crop is underproductive due to serious drought, badly affecting thousands of farmers in the locality, especially those in remote areas.
Over 8,700 families with 32,800 members are waiting for rice support.-VNA
