Dak Lak (VNA) – The Dak Lak Museum in the Central Highlands province of the same name has received more than 40 precious items donated by 19 individuals for permanent display.

All the exhibits were handed over to the museum during a ceremony on March 10, part of the 7th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival and 44th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot’s liberation (March 10, 1975 - 2019).

They include archaeological and cultural items, along with those from the country’s revolutionary time, subsidy period and Doi moi (reform) process.

Speaking at the ceremony, director of the museum Dinh Mot said all the documents and items hold significant historical and cultural values, demonstrating the development of Dak Lak province over time.

The museum will complete scientific documents on each item for conservation and thematic display to help viewers understand more about the history of the nation and locality, he pledged.

Tran Quoc Toan, a resident of Buon Ma Thuot city and one of the museum’s donors, said he gave the museum two small jars, an earthen pot and some bowls and dishes of ethnic groups in the Central Highlands.

To celebrate the donation, the Museum held various activities, including a photo exhibition celebrating Buon Ma Thuot’s liberations and a display on the country’s heritage.-VNA
