Dak Lak (VNA) – A ceremony was held at a martyr cemetery in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on May 11 to rebury the remains of 15 Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts who died in the Cambodian battlefield during wartime.

The remains were found in Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province in the 2015-2016 dry season by Squad 51 of the Dak Lak provincial Military Command.

Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee H’Yim Kdok said that the search for and reburial of remains of Vietnamese soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia reflect the great gratitude for the martyrs as well as meet the wish of their families.

Since 2001, the Squad 51found and repatriated 626 sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers and experts from Cambodia.-VNA
