Dak Nong (VNA) – A delegation led by Deputy Secretary of Dak Nong provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi on April 3 visited Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province on the occasion of the Khmer people's Chol Chnam Thmay (traditional new year) festival.

Muoi highlighted that Vietnam and Cambodia share a special bond which has been fostered by generations of leaders and peoples of the two countries, Vietnam has always attached importance to the comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia, and leaders of the Vietnamese province will always do their best to make the bilateral relationship thrive for the mutual benefits of the two countries.

Men Ngoy, Vice Chairman of the Mondulkiri provincial People's Party and Chairman of the Mondulkiri provincial People's Council, thanked leaders of Dak Nong province for their support to the Cambodian province and wished the Vietnam - Cambodia friendship to keep prospering.

He noted that the signing of an agreement on socio-economic development cooperation between the two provinces in January will continue to contribute to helping the Cambodian locality achieve positive results in various fields, including economy - society and security and defense.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese delegation presented gifts and extended best wishes to the governor, officers, soldiers and people of Mondulkirin province./.
