The Central Highlands province of Dak Nong has invested 260 billion VND in an overhaul of its schools ahead of the 2013-2014 academic year.

The money was used to build one brand new senior secondary school, one further education centre and 322 new classrooms across the province. It also helped provide schools with textbooks and teaching tools.

Almost 150,000 pupils, including 42,000 from ethnic groups, are expected to benefit from the investment.

Dak Nong also plans to complete boarding schools in the future and add new facilities to existing educational institutions.-VNA
