The first phase of the Di An Water Factory in the southern province of Binh Duong was put into operation on November 6, witnessed by Danish Crown Prince Frederik and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hoang Son.

According to Nguyen Van Thien, Director of the Binh Duong Environment, Water Drainage and Supply Company, located in An Phu commune, Thuan An district, the plant has a total daily capacity of 30,000 cu.m and is divided into two phases, each with 15,000 cu.m.

The first phase was sponsored by the Danish Government through a 3.6 million USD credit provided by the Danish International Development Assistance (DANIDA).

Once operational, it is expected to provide clean water for around 8,000 households comprising 45,000 people in the locality.
