At least 10 people died and over 110,000 others were reported homeless after heavy rain swept over five cities in China's Hunan province from July 24-25.

The 10 were killed due to house collapse as a result of rainstorm-triggered landslide, said Xinhua News Agency.

The heavy rain also distroyed other 3,200 houses in the area.

Loses were estimated to reach almost 100 million USD.

Rescuers have been dispatched to the site to examine the losses and carry out relief work./.
