Franz Jessen, Head of the European Union (EU) delegation to Vietnam on
Mar. 21 in Hanoi .
At the reception, Thanh affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence is willing to promote cooperation, exchange and dialogues with the EU on defence and security, as well as on issues of common concern.
Both Thanh and the ambassador agreed that EU member countries are not only Vietnam ’s top trade partners but also leading investors in Vietnam . Vietnam has had traditional relations and good cooperation with many countries in the EU region.
In the field of defence, Vietnam enjoys bilateral cooperation with some EU member countries.
The minister expressed hope that the ambassador will do his utmost to foster cooperation on mutual priority fields during his term.-VNA
