At a farewell reception for the outgoing ambassador in Hanoi on December 9, General Thanh hailed the immense support Russia had provided for Vietnam during the latter’s construction and defence cause.
The Vietnam – Russia ties has so far made impressive achievements across the board, in particular politics, economy, security-defence and education, he noted.
On his part, the guest spoke of the two countries’ defence cooperation, especially in the military technical and technology field.
Andrey G. Kovtun pledged to continue joining efforts to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership.-VNA
