Kuala Lumpur (VNA) -
DSA Exhibition And Conference Sdn Bhd has deferred the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2020 and National Security Asia (NATSEC Asia) 2020 exhibitions by almost two years to March 28-31, 2022.

The event organiser said the decision was made following exhaustive consideration with various stakeholders, including co-organisers - the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs and Malaysian Armed Forces.

Initially slated for April 2020, the mega-events were postponed to August this year following the COVID-19 outbreak.

As the crisis escalated, it was deemed in the best interest of all parties involved to defer the events to early 2022, it said in a statement.

DSA Chairman Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin said more than 1,500 participating companies from over 60 countries and some 350 VIP delegations from 30 countries have registered for the exhibitions that are expected to welcome 50,000 visitors./.
