A high-ranking delegation of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (HCMA), led by its Director Ta Ngoc Tan, paid a working visit to Laos from May 30-31.

The delegation was received by Lao Vice President Bounnhang Volachit on May 30, during which he spoke highly of the visit and expressed his delight at the fruitful cooperation between HCMA and the Lao National Academy for Politics and Public Administration (LNA).

The Lao leader praised HCMA’s great support for LNA in training key officials from central to grass-roots level, saying he hoped that the Vietnamese academy would continue its assistance in the future.

In reply, Tan briefed his host on the results of the freshly ended meeting between the two academies.

During the talks, while mapping out the direction of future cooperation, the two sides agreed to step up Vietnam ’s help in building facilities for LNA and enhancing training methods in 2011 and the years to come.

On the occasion, HCMA presented 20 sets of computers and other equipment for the Lao academy./.
