Deputy Defence Minister welcomes New Zealand army chief

The Deputy Minister of Defence, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Khac Nghien, met visiting Major General Richard Rhys Jones, New Zealand ’s Chief of the Army in Hanoi on March 3.
The Deputy Minister of Defence, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Khac Nghien,met visiting Major General Richard Rhys Jones, New Zealand ’s Chief of the Armyin Hanoi on March 3.

Jones briefed Nghien, who is also Chief of theGeneral Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), on the results of his talkswith Lieutenant General Pham Hong Loi, Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff,on regional security, anti-terrorism, medical troop training, teaching Englishto soldiers and directions for cooperation in the coming time.

Duringthe trip, Jones and his delegation will visit the Command of Military Zone 7,the Institute of Logistics , the Division of Vanguards, the Museum of MilitaryHistory and several beauty spots in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City./.
