Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has met with several senior foreign officials who are in Davos, Switzerland to attend the ongoing 44th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
On January 23, the Deputy PM met with Swiss Minister of Economy Schneider Ammann, High Representative of European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and US trade representative, Ambassador Michael B.G. Froman.
Besides official sessions, Minh is also scheduled to meet WEF Managing Director Rosler Philipp and Irani Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, among others, on January 24.
Themed "Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business”, the 22-25 January forum has drawn over 2,500 participants from almost 100 countries, including more than 1,500 business leaders and over 40 heads of state or government.
There will be more than 250 sessions and workshops, whereby they will exchange opinions on issues such as natural growth, global financial outlook, new energy, ocean economies, health and climate change.-VNA
