Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai on November 19 instructed the post-flood response in the central province of Binh Dinh.
After visiting families that lost relatives and their homes to the floods in An Nhon town, Deputy PM Hai inspected several transport routes and hydroelectric facilities in the locality which were seriously destroyed.
The leader was told about the losses in human life and property suffered by Binh Dinh province as well as the locality’s efforts to fight against the devastating floods.
He applauded the locality’s performance in evacuation and rescue work, and its measures to help local people soon stabilise their lives after the floods.
The Deputy PM asked provincial leaders to closely work with soldiers to overcome the consequences of the floods, repairing transport routes and houses, cleaning the affected environment and taking preventive measures against disease.
The recent floods killed 18 people and injured one in Binh Dinh while causing damage totalling over 1.5 trillion VND (70.5 million USD).-VNA
