Vietnamese media made great contributions to foreign services as well as the performance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) this year.

The remark was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem in a meeting with representatives of Vietnamese press agencies in Hanoi on December 30.

Vietnamese media have well informed the public and Vietnamese overseas of Party and the State guidelines and policies, said Khiem while reviewing outstanding achievements made by MOFA during the year.

On this occasion, the Deputy PM urged Vietnamese media to promote its performance in 2010 with a number of major events scheduled to take place. In addition, Khiem pushed the media to provide the latest world news to Vietnam , helping the country’s on-going renewal process.

On behalf of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman Dinh The Huynh sent warmest congratulations to MOFA staff and expressed his hopes that MOFA and Vietnamese press agencies to continue their good cooperation in the time to come./.
