Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan received visiting Finnish Minister of Labour Anni Sinnemaki in Hanoi on September 6.

Deputy PM Nhan expressed his delight at the traditional relationship and developing multifaceted cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economy, education, science and technology and labour between the two countries.

He acknowledged Finland’s efforts in cooperating with Vietnam in training human resources, proposing that Finland should give more attention to this issue, especially to the signing of a labour cooperation agreement and acceptance of Vietnamese labourers to work in Finland’s timber industry, afforestation and nurseries in the near future.

The Deputy PM also said he hoped Finland would continue to help Vietnam eradicate hunger and reduce poverty, support farmers in remote areas, and assist disadvantaged children and war invalids.

Minister Anni Sinnemaki affirmed that Finland is willing to share experiences in development and promote cooperation with Vietnam./.
