Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem in Hanoi on April 22 gave a reception for the visiting Governor of Sichuan province, China , Jiang Jufeng and his delegation.
Deputy PM Khiem hailed the first visit to Vietnam by Governor Jiang Jufeng, saying it will contribute to boosting friendship and cooperation in economy, trade, investment and tourism between Sichuan province and Vietnamese localities.
Governor Jiang said Sichuan province’s leaders attach importance to exchange and cooperation with Vietnam, stressing that the visit’s aim is part of practical activities to implement agreements reached during Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s Sichuan visit last October and increase friendship and cooperation between the two sides, contributing to strengthening and developing the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership.
During the visit to Vietnam from April 21-25, the Sichuan delegation is scheduled to visit Hai Phong city, Thua Thien-Hue province and Ho Chi Minh City/.
