Deputy PM receives Japanese ambassador

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem received newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Tanizaki Yasuaki in Hanoi on October 26.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem received newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Tanizaki Yasuaki in Hanoi on October 26.

At the reception, Deputy PM Khiem affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the comprehensive and long-term strategic cooperation with Japan .

He said that the Vietnamese government and people are making every effort together with Japan to raise their strategic partnership to a new level of development.

He also expressed his belief that Ambassador Tanizaki Yasuaki will make active contributions to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries during his term of office.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador promised to do his utmost to beef up the Vietnam-Japan cooperation in all aspects, including politics, economics, trade, security and defence./.
