Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem received a delegation from the Mexican News Agency (Notimex), led by its General Director Uzeta Murcio on September 16.

The Deputy PM expressed his pleasure at the results of the talks and the meeting between Notimex and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) as well as the level of cooperation shown between both agencies over the past few years.

He thanked Notimex for working with the VNA to introduce the image of a dynamic and developing Vietnam to the Mexican people, Latin America and other international friends.

Deputy PM Khiem also expressed hopes that both news agencies would continue to exchange information with each other as well as their experiences and work closer together in the future.

For his part, Uzeta Murcio said that he is keen for both agencies to exchange information on a much higher level to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and raise their positions in the international arena.

Earlier, on September 11, the Mexican delegation had talks with the VNA delegation led by the General Director Tran Mai Huong and both parties signed cooperation agreements on printing and issuing the Vietnam Pictorial magazine in Mexico as well as exchanging audiovisual programmes.

They will also make special joint audiovisual programmes to each other’s order./.
