Deputy PM: urges stronger cooperation with Bangladesh

Vietnam and Bangladesh should boost bilateral ties in all fields, especially in agriculture, culture, education, healthcare and tourism, said Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung.

Deputy PM Hung made the call while receiving visiting Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dipu Moni in Hanoi on July 23.

TheDeputy PM also said the two countries need to boost cooperation incoping with climate change as they are among the five countries hardesthit by climate change.

The Bangladeshi FM shared the same viewswith Deputy PM Hung and stated that Bangladesh wants to learn fromVietnam ’s experiences in foreign investment attraction.

Sheexpressed her wish that the two sides would create favourable for theircitizens in visa exemption and for their businesses to increase two-waytrade turnover to meet the two countries’ potential./.

The measure of success in the coming period should not simply be how many additional documents, mechanisms or action plans ASEAN produces; more importantly, it should be measured by the extent to which ASEAN’s commitments are implemented in practice, what changes they bring about for the region, and what benefits they deliver to people, businesses and each member economy, said the top Vietnamese leader.
