Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – The Asian Endoscopic Ultrasound Group and Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy held a training course on November 22-23 at the Hue Central Hospital to improve knowledge and skills for 30 doctors from general hospitals in the central region.

Participants were updated with new EUS techniques from the region’s leading experts in this field, particularly Prof. Kenjiro Yasuda from Japan’s Kyoto Second Red Cross Hospital and Prof. Pankaj Desai from Asian EUS India. The two professors practiced endoscopic ultrasound on multiple patients.

The Hue Central Hospital in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue has worked to train doctors ar provincial-level hospitals in the central region, aiming to increase the quality of health check-ups and treatment and reduce overloads at central-level hospitals.

Director of the hospital Pham Nhu Hiep said that in October alone, the hospital held 13 training courses for more than 400 doctors in the province and other central localities.-VNA
